About Us
The Basics 
CCFMRP is a community based family medicine residency program located at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital – Corpus Christi Memorial. We have served the people of Nueces County for over 35 years.
We work in a thriving city with an expanding patient population and growing medical needs. This prompted an expansion our medical care team and in July 2007 we welcomed the Emergency Medicine Residency Program to our hospital. Our residents enjoy a largely unopposed educational experience with the added benefit of additional residents to cover our inpatient needs.
Our night float system allows residents to enjoy their evenings and avoid excessive work hours and fatigue. Interns complete two months of night float thereby exposing them to many acutely ill and complex patients while increasing their medical knowledge and experience. Second and Third year residents serve as upper levels on night float and complete two weeks per year.
